MULTICELL SIGNALING

Multicell signaling systems allow the qualification of lighting products for the automotive field. These systems are mainly used for production control.

The multicell system allows the measurement of automotive standards ECE, SAE and GB.

Image3 The architecture of a multicell system has two features :

  • A lens reduce the measurement distance to about 1.5 meters (instead of the prescribed 10 meters), the advantage is to save the space of a production site.
  • Several measurement cells located at the different normative points make it possible to check instantly the conformity of the tested products, and thus to increase the productivity.

By default the system consists of a grid of 31 cells allowing the measurement of all signaling standards. It is possible to add this if the customer demand.

The whole system is controlled by the proprietary software ALPES (Automotive Lighting Photometric Equipment Software) developed by Pleiades Instruments (see details of the software features in the ALPES section).
